P1105 / MAP - Solenoid

So the other week my check engine came on so I OBD II scanned it and got a P1105 MAP, and it recommended replace the solenoid.

I reset the check engine light and it did not come on for about 9 days - until yesterday.

So my issue is I am guessing if I check wiring, voltages, vacuum, they will probably all check out fine since the check engine light is only coming on occasionally so far.

What do you think I should do?

It coming on occasional doesn't mean it has be replaced. If there is slight corrosion on the connectors or the wiring is beginning to fail those may be bad instead.

The best answer to your question lies in search my friend:

we had a 99 with only 90k miles come in at our shop with the same code not too long ago.. we changed the solenoid, new hoses,etc...turned out it was a broken wire at the strut tower

^I assume the wire was connected to the solenoid? What kind of problems could a bad one cause?

Engine stall under a load is 9/10 a vacuum leak, listen for a hiss and track it down or sparingly use starting fluid and listen for an idle change to locate, just be careful not to spray it before the maf
