Tired of manually adjusting dimmer, which wire is it?

Ok, so I searched for many different keywords under 4th generation forums as I usually do prior to posting something and found it was safe to ask so here goes!

Alright so about a year ago I installed my Pioneer AVIC D3 navigation head-unit in my 95 GXE which is non-bose equipped. Everything is hooked up except for the dimmer wire and its just pissing me off having to adjust it manually every damn time. I used installdr.com as a guide and they don't mention anything about a dimmer wire. My friend has a 2005 Impreza 2.5 and when I saw his dim and switch from day to night mode I was completely amazed and kind of pissed that mine wasnt like that!

I KNOW this car HAS to have a dimmer wire because the oem radio (which I didnt get when I got the car) dims when you turn your lights on. Someone please guide me in the right direction, thanks!

Hey Coloumbian, are your Bose speakers wired through your Pre outs on your HU or through the actual amplifier? casue really, you get one of those bad boys i likked to above, splice some RCS's for the signal wires and rig allt hat up, ZOMG its soo Hot.

I've got an AVIC D3 installed on a Non Bose Maxima, I'll consider it for the g/f maxima which is a 97 SE with bose

She happens to like her Blose, I agree with her, sounds real good for a 12 year old stock sound system so no aftermarket head unit for her anytime soon
