ES FSB and end-link bushings req jack up? Are ES bushings crap?

Here's the story: I just purchased some ES bushings for the FSB and endlinks from cattman. I was looking to avoid jacking up the car since I have a progress RSB - I've actually bent the jack tab trying to jack an individual corner before (after hearing a lot of creaks from the chassis). So I was searching to see whether I needed to jack up the car to change these when I found that ES FSB bushing crap out almost immediately... which leads to to want ot ask if the FSB bushing is even worth installing? If no, does it req jacking the car?

As it stands, I feel like I should just change the end-links w/o messing with the FSB bushing and jacking the car.

sounds like you didn't grease the bushings. You're supposed to smother them with grease just like the RSB bushings which are supposed to be re-lubed annually. Either way, RSB is in the back, FSB is in the front, why are you bringing the RSB into this?

to change these you need to get the tire out the way so to get the tire outta the way you must jack it up.

RSB tries to keep car level so when I Jack up lets say FR corner, RSB would try to lift the RR and FL corners also increasing the load the chassis and jack has to take. - in this case resulting in a bent jack tab on the car.

Update - got impatient so just went out and changed the end-link bushings since the FSB bushings had a cut in them so I'm assuming you don't have to detach the end link to change them. No jacking or wheel removal req for end links.

That's why you use the jack point at the front of the engine crossmember.

.
yeah, and? The bent tab wasn't caused by the whole side of the car being raised, just user error, somehow. Those tabs can take it. You made this more stressful on yourself than it should've been...

Not that I think about it, the jack itself isn't supposed to sit on the tab. The jack goes in the notches right outside the tab. If you're using the stock jack, dunno why, the tab would go in the slot made for it...

Wait...I have the addco RSB and have never had trouble jacking up my car.

But maybe that's due to my stock suspension

To answer your question, both sides must be jacked up. Read the big write-up on this and it will answer any more questions.

Are you talking about Zack's writeup or this?

Actually, after doing the end link bushings, I have a feeling the car doesn't need to be jacked at all to do those bushing although I'm probably gonna ditch the idea of ES FSB bushings after reading these:

I have been running full ES front bushings for over 2 years now with ZERO installation issues and ZERO squeeking. Your making this a much bigger deal than it needs to be.

^ agreed. I've had my ES front bushings since august 2006 I believe, never once lubed them except the first time I installed them and no problems.

I am totally lost by your thing about the RSB making the car harder to jack up, it doesn't do anything of the sort. if you bent a jack tab you messed up somehow (no clue how though), it wasn't the RSB. RSB doesn't make the car harder to jack up.
