Car jerks alot, i dont think its the coilpacks
For about more than a year the car just loves to jerk (as if a baby is kicking the engine and making the whole car vibrate) at redlights, stop signs, anytime car is parked and in D.
At first i always thought it was the coilpacks. I had this coilpack problem before which actually gave me a CEL and actually did make my car stall.
However this doesnt. No CEL, no signs of stalling, just this annoying jerk that is felt throughout the car. What can i do about this, i want to fix it badly!

I'm having a similar issue and I thought it was in regards to coilpacks but i'm thinking injectors now.
I've tried all the diagnostic tools on this site but i need to ask a question but i haven't hit that 15 post thing to post threads...
tested all coil packs, ohms were a little low but they were all reading low.
got code 0607 which is cylinder 2 misfire.
Ohm tested all the front bank of injectors. All the same ohm levels.
replaced the sparkplug in cylinder 2 b/c i was pulling out my hair and i just had to try it.
99 maxima.
It's running super rough like it's misfiring and there's whitish puffs of smoke coming out the back and it smells like ALOT of gas.
sorry to hijack i'm dying here.

Why exactly do you believe that it's not your coils?
You have a '99. If you're on your original coils, it's almost guaranteed to be the cause.
Bad coils give the same symptoms you have, yet for some reason you decide to overlook the primary suspect? If you want to 'fix it badly', then don't blind yourself to the obvious.

Because the car does not seem like its about to stall. Nor do the RPMs go down at all...
Before i go spend $600 on friggin coilpacks, I wanna make sure it is what it is.
well when my coil was on it's way out the ses came on for the misfire, but the car didn't feel like it was about to stall, it just ran real rough. it would happen intermittently also. bought a used one now no problems so far.
Where are you spending $100 a piece on coils? They can be had much cheaper new, and used will work just fine for troubleshooting.
