Tranny leaking fluid

The tranny is leaking fluid right next to the driver side wheel, where there seems to be this end cap parallel to the wheel. It is leaking from the bottom of this end cap. Is this the control valve? Is it hard for DIY? It doesn't look it but I don't want to find out it's a mother of a job that I can't handle once I've unscrewed it.... Any advice appreciated.

If it's the drain plug, then you can get a new drain plug for a couple of bucks and a couple quarts of tranny fluid.

If it's coming from the tranny pan, then you'll need a new gasket ($14), and new tranny bolt's (I think there are 19 of them ($0.92 a piece)), and a couple quarts of tranny fluid.

If you could, post a picture.

I will definitely post a photo as soon as the camera is charged. But, I am not talking about the tranny fluid pan. I'm talking about the cover of the solenoid valves I think. It is perpedicular to the tranny pan and parallel to the driver side wheel, right next to the driver side wheel in fact. The fluid isn't coming very strong, but there is a greasy spot there, at the bottom of that cover, with the pinkish tint of fresh tranny fluid. I'll post a pic as soon the POS camera is charged.

Does anyone know where this could be coming from, and is it hard to fix?

It doesn't look like the drain plug. I looks like it could be the tranny pan or what's to the right of it. I don't think I could definitively diagnose the problem just based on the picture. If I were in your shoes, I would clean the area so they're both clean and then drive around and see where the leak is coming from again.
