battery drain help please!

seems like that when i drive my car on a regular basis, it runs just fine.. but when i leave sitting in the garage for about 1 week and a half, the battery is completely drained and i would end up having to replace again and again.. i heard something factory alarm switch or the trunk light switch thinking that something isnt closed or something like that.. but i not really sure how to check all that.. i would really appreciate the help..

Something is staying on in the electrical system. You can get a voltmeter and test the fuses while the car is off.

The battery shouldn't drain in a week and a half.

Have you done any electrical work? Put in a new stereo system?

Okay, pulling fuses isn't gonna help you too much as you won't know which one is gonna stop the drain.

Start by putting removing your negative battery cable and attaching an ammeter in series between the cable and the battery. Leave it attached until your computer goes into sleep mode and then read the ammeter, if you have anything over 25 mA start pulling fuses until it drops down to a more reasonable level. Once you notice a significant drop you've found your faulty circuit. After you figure that out all you have to do is check your wiring and find your fault.

Best of luck.
