from what i remember, these speakers are amplified with a 2 ohm amp??? and the newer head units are 3, so there not compatible with each other. there is a way to do it, are you aware of the search???? its above the a in maxima.org. please search, i know you'll come up with an answer to solve your issue.

Most HU's are 4 ohms, so that's probably why the speakers aren't working. In the meantime pop your old HU back in and the speakers will work again I'm sure.

If you plan on going aftermarket HU, then get aftermarket speakers. You're AM HU has amplifers in it and the bose HU is just a signal processor and amplifers are on the speakers.

Go all Bose or all aftermarket...IMO.

I'm sure the Kenwood you installed has an amp built in, and the stock BOSE setup has an amp at each speaker. The obvious problem here is you are trying to amplify your audio signal twice. That's a no no. Every speaker uses the same fuse for its amp, so if one works, that fuse is good. What you need is this (or somthing similar, check cructhfield). It turns the amplified audio into a differential signal level to feed into the stock Bose amps. Of course, you will lose fidelity. If you go with anything other than a Bose headunit, it's adviable to go with aftermarket speakers as well, if you have the money. Hasn't this been discussed thousands of times? Look in the audio and electronics forum.

I don't know, why don't you do a search? Use the advanced option and set the "sort by" field to "relevancy". Type in your search string, in this case "Metra 70-7551" (without quotes though, you don't want to search for the literal string "Metra 70-7551" , but you want to search for the keyword "metra" and the keywork "70-7551"), and hit the search button. I tried it and got 19 results in 0.02 seconds, which is much faster than the time it took me to respond to your last post.
