'97 cali spec

I've searched and read a few things, but just want to double check and make sure. My '97 cali spec SE auto uses the same y-pipe and exhaust system as the fed spec cars, right? The only car with a different setup is the '99 cali spec car. I'm right, right?

Being that California is full of smog and they're very critical of emissions, I think that the diferences between the cali and fed spec ARE the exhaust components in the 99'

Edited for accuracy.
