Vibration when stopped

Car runs well, motor is strong. However, when I am stopped at a light (this is an auto) there is a little vibration that goes away if you put it in neutral. It's not terrible, but I feel like it will get worse with time. Kind of like when you're in a NY taxi and they stop and feels like **** so they put it in park when waiting for the light.

Also, the down shifting between 3 and 4th, when the tranny is huntingis kind of abrupt. Everything else seems fine.

Is this tranny related? Motor mounts? Any clue?

For the vibration , check :
1-Coil packs
2-Spark plugs
3-Fuel filter

Clean :
1-TB
2-IACV

............do you have any CEL ? even if not , have you checked for ghost codes in ECU ?

I had that same issue with my ex-wifes 98. I was told it was the torque converter.

I don't think it has anything to do with the motor. If in neutral I can barely tell it's running, very smooth. It's only when in gear while stopped and on the low engine speed shifts between 3 and 4. I think if anything with the motor it would be the mounts.

Did you ever get it fixed? Something a simple fluid change might solve?
