NEED HELP! Car Dies When Coming To A Stop

This just started happening (three times) - car would just die when coming to a stop. It's preceded by weak power/acceleration/unwillingness to rev. After restarting, it runs fine!

Prior to this phenomenon, the car had died a coupla time while parking the car with steering at full lock. I figured it was the power steering being low on fluid. It was, so I topped that up. But now this.

Here is what we're dealing with:

97 Auto
Newer (year old) battery
Recent oil change
New fuel pump
New starter
Cleaned IACV
Probably doesn't matter, but this car was rear-ended three weeks ago with slight damage to the bumper and rear frame. Not sure if it might've affected the fuel system in any way (e.g. fuel pump, etc).

My first hunch is to change the fuel filter, and I've read somewhere here to check the MAF, right? What do I need to look for with the MAF?

Anyway, whatever info you might have will definitely be helpful to me. Cheers!

Thanks. I've read some posts on which cleaner to use. MAF or Contact Cleaners.

when my car starts acting like it dying, i usually check my codes, hint hint.
also, when you cleaned your IACV did you readjust your idle? it may have been affected.
but you cant have any good answers without codes,

Sounds like the MAF or the IACV

does your cel come on? I would say just like anyone here has its the maf, you can clean it with the maf spray but honestly i think your gonna needa get a new one. I ran into big probs, i thought it was my maf, but it wasnt, so i got a new iacv, and it still didnt work, i ended up having to get a another ecu. I heard that if you dont clean out your iacv regularily when needed, it can screw up your ecu.

running extra grounding wire for MAF sensor solved my stalling issues, you should try it.

If your car stalls out and your giving gas or your coming to a stop, It's your MAF. This is your clue here, If the car can't pass the 3500 RPMS It's your MAF.
