Motorvate.ca

Motorvate.ca is down, and I have no idea if it's ever coming back. Did anyone ever save the 5-speed rebuild section - or any other sections - to their hard-drive? Care to share? Thanks in advance.

link works but the site is broken.

I know about the rebuild thread(s), but the motorvate.ca writeup was really clear, I just never saved it.

Anyone?

You need to submit the page links directly to archive.org to search. Like http://web.archive.org/web/200402142...ca/mvp.php/805. However, even that would not bring back the attached pictures as I am sure archive.org gave up on trying to archive the pictures long time ago.

First go to motorvate.ca homepage. That page still seems to be up. Find the URL of the page you are interested in, copy that and head over to archive.org. Sumbit the copied link and search - with some luck, you would get what you need (minus the pictures - which is a big bummer)

I am trying to print the Alternator Replacement write up. The pix come up on the page on webarchive but when I print (to printer or PDF printer), the pix do not show up. If I save the web page, the pix do not get saved with the writeup.

How do I go about getting a PDF out of the writeup on Web Archive?

Also, does any one know if the owner of motorvate would turn over the documents? I can host 'em if I have the originals or PDFs.

The site is copywritten, but check out one of his posts with his contact info (http://forums.maxima.org/canadian-cl...900-takes.html) It's be great if he let someone host it.

Not sure about your .pdf/printing problem. On a mac, hit file>print, then save as a pdf and the pics show up when viewing in preview or acrobat. If you're really desperate, just take sectional screenshots to your clipboard then copy/import the pics into any program (word, etc) for printing.

link to motorvate archives

http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://motorvate.ca
If at some point that link doesn't work go to http://www.archive.org/web/web.php and do a search for motorvate.ca. What you obtain is a listing of all archives recorded for the motorvate site. You may have to do some fishing around to find what you're looking for, but I've obtained better results than trying to access a topic via a link on an individual archived page. That site was and remains a great reference. I wonder what car he's driving now?
Cheers
