How important is 3" exhaust w/turbo or SC?

I ask because I plan on getting the SC soon. Unfortunately I installed a 2.5" catback recently. Can I leave it or would it be best to get a 3" catback? And why? Also, I will be ordering a Y pipe soon so I need to know 3" or 2.5" for that. Thanks so much guys.

Leave it at 2.5". Someone dyno'd 3" vs. 2.5" and found no gain, and might even have seen a loss (I dont remember very well).

Hey ptatohed,

When you went with the 2.5 piping, did you notice a loss in low end over stock ??

BTW, Keep it 2.5 if you decide on boost. Like weasel said some found nothing, and it will save you $$$.

Thank you sir. I am assuming you mean 'noticable' when you say appriciable, and nothing NEAR a pop-lagger. <---My new word for pop-charger.
