Should I spoil her?

I'm getting some body work done and have the opportunity to delete my factory spoiler. I like its large LED brakelight and it does add a bit of sportiness to the Max. It's also a nice option for resale. However, it's cleaner without (euro and luxuries don't have spoilers) and just plain different.

Just itching to mod so feedback would be very appreciated. I officially started working on my Max project so more good things to come.

Happy Holidays!

White

Actually, she's currently two-tone and will be solid white soon.

It all depends on whether you have a '95-'96 or a '97-'99.

If you have a '95-'96, I say keep the spoiler.
If you have a '97-'99, I say ditch the spoiler.

Using my Honda math spoilers add horsepower and downforce at the same time, so...

So keep it.

I say keep it. I had a 96 without it and always wanted to put one on it. It adds a little something extra to the back.

Thanks everyone for the input. I gotta decide by tomorrow so it's a tough decision.

ChrisMan287, why the model year spoiler preference? I know the trunk differences.

Definitely stick with the spoiler. IMO the 4th gens (95 through 99) look funny without it. My 99GLE didn't come with one, so I added it myself.

I'd keep it as long as it is the OE spoiler.

I vote no spoiler ... I think it's much cleaner without.

I think it also looks dumb to see a 4th gen that was originally without a spoiler and then an added spoiler, thus creating the 4th brake light.

I think the 'no spoiler' option only looks good with a rear lip kit (stillen, ionic).

Thanks for all the input. It was very helpful. After reviewing member pics and everyone's comments, I decided to keep the spoiler for the following reasons:

1. Large LED brakelight (safety)
2. Adds thickness to rear (without a body kit, Max looks too wedgy)
3. Differentiates car from base model.
4. Looks sporty (added downforce can't hurt either)

Thanks again and I'll post more info and pics as my project progresses.

yea, spoiler FTW. as for the "4th brake light", its easy enough to remove the bulb or cut the wires to the old one on the rear deck, and probably possible to remove it completely

I can't tell you why it's dump (P not even close to the B on the keyboard)

But I already explained why I think it's dumb.
