Headlights off with alarm arm?

Did a quick search and couldn't find anything about this.

Has anyone looked into a rewire to turn headlights off upon alarm arm and back on upon disarm? I had this feature on a car I sold and loved it.

Did that car have auto headlights? It's much easier to do that to a car with auto.

You mean ones that turn off automatically when the car's turned off? In that case, yes... that's the behavior I'm wanting to mimic.

Making the lights work with the key isn't so hard but making them work with the theft deterant will be a real pain. If you want them to work with the key you have to locate the headlight relay and disconnect the wire which supplies the relay with constant power to a key-on power. Was you last car a german car? Thats how the're wired. Keep in mind, this will not affect your marker lights, and you headlights may not flash if the factory alarm is set off. But this is the easiest way I can think of to do this.

Recently I did that plus a little further. Now I have (1) auto off in 20 seconds after ignition turn to "OFF" or taken out; (2) auto sensing that turns headlights on when getting dark, with a cancel switch if sometimes I don't want that feature.
