What exactly does the term "A32" refer to?

I never understood what A32 meant. Sorry for the dumb question but I would like to know.

Chassis designation from nissan.
89-94=J30
95-99=A32
00-03=A33

One generation, at least. There are other generations (such as the R32 and R33).

A32 denotes the version of the flux capacitor in these vehicles.
