Got into a accident and hit a deer at 70mph. Pretty hard impact, the bags deployed and the belts locked up.

Ever since my trunk rattles (very loud and annoying) and does not fully close. When its closed I can push down on it with my hand and it has about a half inch of travel till it bottoms out and the tail lights are lined up. Any ideas on what needs to be replaced? I looked around in there and it didnt look like the latch had bent or moved but I could be wrong.

Hard to imagine how hitting a deer with the front end screwed up my trunk lid

 

The lock part in the trunk lid is moveable/adjustable. You have to snap off the black plastic cover that is on it to see the bolts. Possibly the shock of the impact pulled the piece out of position.
