JWT Pop Charger Question

I just installed JWT's POP Charger, but now I'm hearing rattles under the hood. It turns out, the crome lid of the air filter is vibrating against the inner wheel which is metal. Does the JWT's POP Charger come with brace like the Stillen Intake or something similiar? Can someone please help! I bought the intake used so I don't know what's included in a new package. Please help!

Thanks.

You could fabricate your own with a strip of aluminum or metal. Just measure what you need, and cut to length. Bend the ends with in a vise or with pliers if the metal is malleable enough to line up with the bolt holes from the original airbox. Reuse the original bolts, and you should be good to go. When installing one for a '99 Max, we also had to twist the strip a bit to get the boles to line up and the angle on the brace correct. Been almost 2 years now with no rattles or coming loose.

Hope this helps,

For now you need to get a temporary fix... Get some duck tap or something and wrap it around and around itself with the sticky side out. Then get some cloth and add some cushioned layers in between your raps, and finish it off with a patch of cloth on the part that will touch the bottom of the metal on your filter. Then just tape it to your wheel well. Did you notice that when installing the JWT intake without the bracket that one of the screws is longer than the rest??? That is the screw that will be used with the brackets. It probably isn't flush right now sense it can't go all the way in. Good Luck

thx y'all for the help!

i'm using the stock screws to mount the pop charger. the stock screws were too long so i'm using 2 locking spacers to make up for the extra length. once i get the brace, i can just take out both spacers in its place on one of the screws. will this work? also, does anyone have instructions on how the brace mounts to the cone filter? i'm looking at the filter and there is no screw holes? does it just clip on or something?

i left the stock air box in mine. the filter sits there nicely and no rattles. besides, the air scoop in the front brings cool air to the filter when driving anyway.

ummm Well, you have four holes that bolt to the MAFS, and the bracket will be located on one of those screws...
