How lower idle speed just a bit?

99 maxima, I had the throttle body cleaned about 6 months ago at a good but distant garage. Idle speed has always been high since then. 750 in drive , hot, but take foot off brake and car moves ahead and slowly idle speed increases to about 1000, 1100 RPM.
I want to lower the speed 50 or 100 RPM.
I have searched for idle speed but I just want to lower it a bit.
How do I do that, How can I post a pix? : the "idle stop lever on top side of the throttle body seems full seated on the idle screw (where red "factory" paint is), red paint is still all lined up.

Should I adjust the other "allen wrench head" screw located several inches below the throttle body? ? Whats that? cold idle? when hot there is no clearance between the plunger and the end of the allen head screw- is that normal?

Just want to lower the idle speed thanks

See start of discussion at post #7 on how to adjust the idle, and the following threads after that for the discussion.
It could also be that your cold high idle adjustment is off. The plunger on mine didn't move out, so it was always on high idle. I put a space between it and the cam to defeat it until I got a new one.

1.Fully warm up the engine, drive it for about half an hour (temp gauge half way)
2.Turn of the car, disconnect both TB TPS connectors (the grey and umber ones)
3.Start the engine , on P or N if auto . or neutral if manual
4.Use the black plastic screw on the top of IACV (tun it clockwise will decrease the idle), you may be better having some one inside the car to moniter the idle speed..set it to 550-600 (auto) or 650-750 (manual)
5.When you finish reaching the optimal idle speed , shut off the engine (without connecting the TB connectors)
6.Connect the grey and umber TB connections (or you'll have a CEL for TPS)... then start the car again...

How sensitive

How sensitive is the black plastic screw- what rpm change will you get approximately, for a 1/2 turn?

If I just want to lower ithe idle a bit, can I just turn in the black plastic screw a little?
Does it Make any difference (will it throw a code? ) if I just turn it in say 1/2 turn with the car running w/o disconnectiong the two plug ins??

or turn the black screw in a little with the engine off?
