I'm positive they have 110K. They were changed at 75K by the dealer, I brought them the plugs to have them changed when I had gasket work done. The car has mostly HWY miles, I don't know if that makes a difference?

i wonder if mine look as good as those because i got 122k on my 2002? Haven't taken them out yet because my car still fires up without problems.
You could just pull one of the fronts just to see what shape they're in. It would take about 15 minutes or less. I changed mine mainly because I was doing other work like checking the coils and such. I figured if I was going to do the work to check them I'll do a little more and replace the plugs since they're over 100K while I'm in there.
I do think my car starts better and pulls harder. It definitely doesn't hurt. I got a full set of NGK's Plats. on ebay for $50 shipped. The brown you see on the threads is not rust. It's just discolored anti-seize compound.

Just for future reference, I'd definitely do a tune up to a car that after i purchase it. Unless the person your buying the car from was Jay Leno you don't really know how they took care of it. Besides, it costs like $50 for all the parts

Hayne's manual has a brief summary of spark plug analysis on the back cover. If you do any work to your car, get one (or a Chilton or FSM)Originally Posted by defiance

I change mine almost every year. But I drive hard. Plus I get the NGK coppers so it only cost like $ 10-12 for a set of 6. Can't go wrong for that price.
