I am looking into buying a new set of wheel. I don't however want to do a staggered setup. I am going to go with a 19" or 20" nothing bigger or smaller. What would be the widest I can go with those? I am also lowered with with tein springs. I am trying to stay away from rolling my fenders and what not. any help would be greatly appreciated. I posted in the wheel section but one reply that didn't sound to sure. So i figured I would get more help here...

im no wheel & tire nor suspension expert (try askin suspension jedi master Djfrestyl lol) , but wdnt 20s alone completely fill the tire wheel to the point that turning the tires would be a hassle??

How low is the car now? Are u riding 15s or 16s? 20s may be a problem. If u hit any tire spot, they recommend tires 2" bigger than stock. Anythin bigger is asking for a worse ride. your choice of course.

19 or 20 is way big , and fugly IMHO on our cars....17' is a nice way to go

18" is the biggest you should get. MAYBE 19" depending on your drop.

As for how wide...mine are 18x7.5...you MAY be able to go 8.5 comfortably (depending on offset - mine are 43 I believe)...

I'm running 225/45/18 tires with no issues, ever.

honestly for a pefect fit with a drop id go with a set of 18''s. that would give u room for a decent tire size for a comfortable ride and still would be filling the wells nicely. thats just my 2 cents. 19''s would look good to but u may have to roll the fenders depending on how low ur drop is

225/45/18. But I'm going to 40 on my next tires.

With 45, my speedometer is 2.9% too slow. With 40, it'll be 0.9% too fast which is better.

Those look like the famous Mille Miglia EV-S wheels. Probably in 19. They are no longer produced.

However, Tirerack sells the knock off (Sport Edition KV5).

There's two versions of those rims, the original ones are made in Italy and there's a sport edition knock off, I couldn't tell you exactly what they are but they're common... Just look at the thread featuring 4th gens and their drop setups.

get 18's get 19's if you wanna look baller or 20's but i think 18's are the best and fit perfect

Sorry for thread jacking, i'm looking to get 5Zigen FN01R-C 15 inch wheels mainly to help with fuel economy because i know they're super lightweight at 13.5 lbs per wheel for 15's

No way, 17's are a bit too small for our cars. 18's are ideal but 19's look good as well. Unfortunately the selection of wheels in a 19" size isnt too great.

To the OP, its going to depend on how wide the wheels are, their offset and then the tire size.
Im on 18x7.5 with a 44mm offset, the tires are 235/40/18
I actually used spacers to pull the wheels out more to sit a bit closer to the fenders.

Unless you get staggered, your going to need spacers if you want to try and keep them somewhat flush.

20's may be to big if you are lowered, but there is a guy around here with 20x7.5 and lowered on h.techs, and it doesnt rub.
my 19's dont rub either, im lowered on s.techs

i think 18s are the best for our car. i had 20s and it was stock. it fit pretty gd. but heavy and lifted. but u r lowered like most members. so even 19s would be pushing it. but its a good look.

i have agxs on megan 2"drop spings. and i went with 18x7.5 with 225/40/zr18 tires

Flava, did you run 235's before the spacers? I"m thinking of going wider, but I'm worried I'm going to rub in the front when turning the wheel all the way.

I'm 18x7.5...and wanted to go 235/40 or 45/18.

I orignally ran 225's and have always had the 5mm's in the front.
When I went with the 235's, I changed my suspension setup to coilovers and I put the 25mm's in the rears. With the lowered setup and the 235's I had to roll the fenders.
With a moderate drop, I think 235/40 would be fine. 235/45 would be pushing it.

I dunno about getting 17 or 18, a little to small for my blood. I have 19 on my car now, but they are not in perfect condition and 1 rim has a slight bend in it, and I want to go a little wider so I can have a bigger lip so i am going to get a whole new set. here are some pics of how it looks with the 19...

Unless he's lowering 2" or more, he should stick to 18's. 19's look funny on a car that isn't low.

I am lowered 2" well what ever drop the Tien S tech's give you. I just wanna go wider.

Yeah, but what are you currently on? How wide are your current wheels and tires? Do you plan on buying new tires or transfering over your current ones?

If you go with a wider wheel your going to rub, and less you go with a low profile tire and stretch it.

Depends on the the coilovers being used. Cheap coilovers can result in blown struts, but people usaully have them on their lowest settings also.
Ive never really heard of springs going bad, maybe waaaaaay back in the day. People used to complain that Intrax springs would sag. Now struts do fail, and its usually from being on an aggressive drop that the struts cannot handle.
Coilovers is usually the best way to go, the struts being used have damper ratings matched to the springs being used.
You dont get that with a paired up spring/strut combo which is why some struts blow eventually.

well the thing is, I bought these wheels a long time ago from a member here on there .org, he had them on a 5th gen, So dont know the with or the offset on them, the only thing i knew about the wheels is that they were 19's.... Now with that being said, I am trying to get a new set of wheels, and I would like to go with another set of 19's, but what is the widest wheel I can go with, being dropped on Tein s techs, I want to be able to get the biggest lip possible. I will also be putting new tires.. thanks for any help.

Once again, it depends on the offset of the wheels and the tires you wish to use...

Measure your current wheels to deterine what width you already have. Also look on the inside, a lot of the times the offest and wheel size will be stamped inside.
