Ultimate Light Setups thread

So I don't know if this will really take off or if it will flop instantly...but I'd like to try.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm obsessed with lights. Call it a waste of time if you want but I know I'm not the only one here who loves a good light setup.

I've seen some pretty sick combination's of lights here on 4th gens, and I want to see some more. Whether you're like me and you're making the best of what you can..or you haven't found exactly what you want yet..or you've got it how you want it and you're willing to show it off.

Post some pics! And for bonus points...please..explain what you have going on and where you got it!

I personally have been trying to find some solid super white bulbs for my stock cornerlights and sidemarkers..

Anyways, we'll see how this thread does..I just wanna see some cool pictures.

Beautiful light setup....wish I had the time to produce something of that quality. I know retros aren't cheap though, most that perform them need to charge around $5-600 that will actually perform the retros for you.

I LOVE THIS THREAD!! Haha. I have like $1,500 invested just into my lights. And soon, LED tails will be added to the setup.

Headlights:
  • OE Glass Lense Headlights from EBay
  • Acura TL Bi-Xenon Projectors
  • E46 Shrouds
  • ZKW Replica Lense
  • DDM Tuning 55W 6000k Digital HID Kit
  • TheRetrofitSource.com Bi-Xenon Harness
  • Made by gtr_rider (highly recommended)

Fog Lights:
  • EBay 35W 3000k H3C Digital HID Kit
  • OEM Glass Fogs (not EBay crap which cracks easy)

Picture - See 2nd to Last Picture Above

Rear Lights:
  • Soon to be LED'ed (3 row) tails (just brakes) by Kzoosho
  • LED Reverse Light Bulbs (size 921)
  • LED Strip for Rear License Plate Light

Bro, you need switch back LED's for your corner light so it matches the LED strip when it's blue (not turning) and is amber when your blinker is on (amber).

(press CTRL+F and type in switchback to bring you to the part of the page where those are sold)

I get all of mine from VLeds (http://www.v-leds.com/) and besthongkong.com (my rear license plate light). Awesome quality, last a long time.

Haha, Autozone. 2 separate stips. I used to have just white ones in them, but added the amber strips for the signals.

I could probably do that. I've done several retro's before.

This is where I'm at now. Still a work in progress. Got something crazy coming soon. It's something no one has done yet.

Catera H1 low-beam projectors
MDX H11 high-beam projectors

relayed harness with PowerBulbs +50% 55w H1 and Osram 65w H9.

Are you speaking of the Lexor 1 bulbs? If so you can find them on Ebay.

Thats so funny, I also used E46 OEM shrouds. I see you cut them quite a bit to fit lol. I did the same, I thought I'd regret squeezing them in the R34 housing but it came out ok. I'll post some pics soon.

They (the wires) were long enough so I snaked the wires up under the headlights (both sides) and put them right on the body of the car. Worked out perfect. I too had a 6000k set like a year and a half ago that got wet because I had it mounted on the body right by the fog.

Yup, thats what I did. I was at the mercy of the length of the wires. I have to look into the set you have, they look really good.

What are Euroclear Lights?

My sidemarkers are aftermarket clears from Ebay, they look about like yours...but the corners are stock 96..and ugh...they look ugly no matter what bulb is in there.

That was the term for them back in the day. I guess you can call them 'crystal clear' now.

They are probably a foot and a half. Maybe 2. I'm just guesstimating.

They are just long enough to set the ballast on the body of the car where the headlight grounds go into (on the passenger side). On the driver side, I shoved it in between the battery and the fuse box since neither of those really move.

AHH I see, thats still way longer than my old Helio hid kit I had. Damn wires were only about 1' long.

I extended my wires so they'd reach up to behind the headlights. First set got wet and ruined so I used the wires from that set, extended the wires, and plugged them into the new set.

The worry I have is you can't close the lid on the actual bulbs (the stock lid). And the one that comes with the kit is too small. So basically, the back of my fog light is wide open. You guys have any ideas for that? Or just leave it? I figure water won't get into the fog light from the back cause by the time it gets done going into the car, it'll be too late to 'go back' (physically speaking - unless I'm going in reverse lol)
