Cutting bumpstops with Eibachs??

I'm going from Sprints to Eibachs tomorrow.

I got new bumpstop/dustboots for each corner.

Who cut their bumpstops? How did you do it? Since they are molded together with the bustboots, did you cut ou the the middle or what?

And I am keeping the dustboots, so just ditching them is right out.....

YES, I searched. NO, I didn't get a good answer.

You can pop out the bump stop from the dust boot, once its out cut it with a hacksaw. I think I cut about 1/2 inch or 1 inch not too sure. the springs come with instructions saying how much to cut. You don't need to cut the rears.

If you didn't get your eibachs new, I may still have the instructions for mine at home.

No, I'm not getting my Eibachs new. I'm putting them intomorrow.

I got new bumpstops from Nissan. The boot and the bumptop are all one piece, no getting them apart... I'll probably just cut out the middle notch on each corner.

Yes, no?

I have sprint springs right now, and I cut my stops way too short...down to almost nothing.

Its wacked right?

I have Eibachs too. I pulled the bumpstop/dustboot from the top, but I couldn,t seem to get the bumpstop free from the dustboot, like mine were one piece (95), unlike roruiz's post says. So I cut the two lower notches(smaller end). And that separated the dustboot for me. So I had to put them on upside down so they would still be effective and cover the rod. It was my first suspension swap, and I guarantee its not perfect, but I still can whip turns hard enough to brake my half shafts, so maybe thats the problem.

I have Tok's, I'm gettin AGX's in a month. What shocks U runnin?

I've got Koni/Eibach setup and never cut the bumpstops. I haven't had a problem with anything. Maybe I made a boo-boo, but if I did, I haven't had a lick of problems. I'm going on about 30,000 miles since I dropped it.

I dont have eibachs but I have apex(1.6") and I just cut the dust boot off and about a half inch off the fronts and I have no problems bottoming out so you should be fine since my springs are lower than the eibach.
