to the start and shut off problem, could be a vacuum line they set all sorts of codes or an intake gasket. do a vacuum test it should be steady at about 18-20hg at idle obviouslly lower at higher rpms. let me know what the results are. even after a fpr the problem would persist. bad vacuum is a very overlooked imo. i noticed someone mentioned that earlier but it looked like it went nowhere or maby i just need better glasses.

So I hate to bump a 6 month old thread but I've been doing some research since I'm having hard start issues on one of my Maximas... and I can say that Fenton kind of started to irritate me by asking for advice and not taking it but rather replacing other parts that were irrelevant. So Fenton... an update, its been a couple of months. Did you replace the Fuel Pressure Regulator yet??? Have you fixed the cold start issue yet???

fpr is on the way bought one from a part out
will let you know sorry to be an annoyance

Its ok lil buddy, as long as you finally ordered it I just finally got my car starting normally like 15 minutes ago and the FPR was the problem.

Don't sleep on thr FPR man....as you can see, that is something that goes unchecked in a lot of hard start problems on the org here..
