Debadging

I read some earlier posts about debadging my car, and people said the 2K maxima's NISSAN logo had two little holes behind it, and I was wondering if the 1995-1999 Maxima's had the little holes too.

Its the front...

The one on the front grill has holes and alittle plate, and if you take it off it will look horrible. However the back has no holes and it will come out clean.

DONT DO IT. If you remove the badging, the dealer wont know what kind of car you have. This will void your warranty.

i am seriously tempted to take off the hamburger on my trunk, but i don't have any wax or buff... how ugly will the outline look like when i take it off? i own a '99 SE-L. i'm sick and tired of looking at the hamburger.

Seeing as how I don't have a warranty on my 95, I don't think it should be a problem. I just took off the Maxima lettering, and I realized that I'm never gonna touch my car with paper towels again, because they scratch the f*** out of my paint, so to anybody who wants to debadge, use old rags.

I took mine off my 95. You can't tell it was even there until you literaly put your nose to my trunk.

And wax is cheap. Go buy some.

OMG!

My trunk looks so CLEAN! I just shaved off the Nissan emblem and left the MAXIMA on. Now the letters look centered. I finally know how you guys felt when you shaved off your Nissan emblem. I can't believe I waited this long to finally shave it off. *sigh*

You kids and your small aesthetic differences

Hey, whatever makes a man happy I guess.

I was perfectly content with my hamburgers. But someone debadged my hamburger for me in the middle of the night so I had no choice. But now that I've gotten used to it, it looks clean.

yeah, i just debadgd the whole back, and it looks so clean and smooth. i was reminded about doing this when i saw a black 97-99 maxima driving on the beltway near wheaton. it had white rims, red/white tail lights, and an exhaust. i saw it again in some karate parking lot. if you guys know anybody in DC with a maxima like that, tell me, cause that car was sweet.

yeah, I wasn't sure if I liked it when I first did it, I had to wax the hell out of it to remove any blemishes, but I like it now, the only thing is I want to pain the keyhole black, so it doesn't stick out on the clean trunk

I'm not sure yet,i'll have to get something that will stick to the silver material and something that wouldn't wash off very easy, I haven't decided if I will use spray-paint or brush yet, so if anyone has done this and it's been successful, would apreciate any help

Hmm, I wonder how mine would look then with just the keywhole. I seen yours with the silver but I got the gold trim setup on mine. Wonder if it will look bad?

Why is he doing that? If he is, I'd be interested in buying some of his stuff. Do you know his email or a way that I can contact him?

Nothing will be obscene, and it will preserve MAXIMA letterings as they are.

Please no more questions, just donate or sell me lowly your MAXIMA letterings, those who will do so, will receive prototype for low cost or for free. All depend son manufacturer decision. Thanks!
