Got the wrong intake !!

I ordered a Short ram off ebay and after a month of run arounds and crap from the seller I just got it, but I have a problem. Its the wrong one!!! Instead of a short ram for a 95-99 max I got a cold air for a 92-94 max. So I'm pretty much screwed so is there a way i can make it work? can i use one of the pipes and use it as a short ram? its the optionracing cold air kit N1X11C.

Awww kid...how the hell u do that????

Jus return it. The 92-94 and 95-99 CAI are similar but def not the same. THe nozzles on the take pipe are at differnet locations, u wd have to modify the pipe or use breathers on the IACV and crankshaft hoses, which means spending more money. And u wd need a third smaller nozzle somehow welded to the intake pipe.

Your Best bet is to use the cone filter and remove the filter box. Jus make sure the Kit came with a MAF adapter that will work with 95-99. I think it will work. NOt totally sure tho.

If they wont take it back make sure you give them a bad review on ebay, If all else fails post that in the classifieds in the 3rd gen and try again.

well the guy was actually selling a bomz sri kit. when I contacted him he told me that he's all out of 95-99 intake and offered me an alternative for the same price so I told him I'll take it. never heard from him again. i tried contacting him by phone and email and no response so i filed a case on ebay and got my money refunded. when I got the package today i was shocked...checked my paypal and seen that he took back the refund. I already left him a bad feedback. another dude bought an sri for his integra and never got it either.

I'll probably just use the filter and MAF adapter and see if someone on the 3rd gen forums would buy the pipes and stuff from me. or maybe someone would trade for a fstb

Maybe. You never know till you try. I'd recomand looking on here b4 going to ebay. There are too many scam artists out there. You never know what your going to get into with stuff like that. The guys on this forum will be a little more trustworthy in my opinion

Gotta disagree man ..... My MAF adapter broke a few wks back when i was removing it to do some maxi cleaning. Wasnt too bad, jus the kinda cracked along the perimeter flange. Was able to still use it but i needed a new one obvioulsy. Got one off ebay for 15 bucks with a new filter. Good as new, call it a day .

Exactly. That would be the best idea, but I couldn't afford that so I got a plastic one. Broke after...eh...6 months. Can't say it wasn't worth it though. Cheap and easy.
