Paint Match or leave it?

So should we paint the engine cover to match the color of the car or leave it the way it is? You probably cant tell but she painted the letters with gold touch up paint already. What do you think?

That would look tacky as all hell but if it makes you happy....
If anything, make it the same color as the lip.

I'd say leave it unless you planned on cleaning the rest of the bay up. but then i guess there isn't really away to clean a 4th gen engine bay after a 3.5 swap...is it ???

I mean is it possible to but some of those engine cover things to hide all the wiring/tubes like they do on the newer model cars ???

If the car was a different color it MIGHT look alright, but not with that gold

I don't think the gold color would look very good. I would leave it alone.

I agree... if the car were to be a different color, it'd look better but gold doesn't really inspire much.

I've had random thoughts what mine would look like painting it Dark Blue Pearl like the car but have never thought of actually doing it. Oh and I dont have a 3.5, it would just be the V6 3000 24 Valve DOHC valve cover-cover but meh.

Color I personally think would look good painted
-Dark Blue Pearl
-Black Emerald Green / Hunter Green
-Aztec Red or aackshun's red not sure if its the same
-Black even though I'm not a fan of black
-Sage Mist Green

Ok so looks like she wins this time lol. I guess if the car was darker than it would work. I've seen it done on a white 3.5 max here and I loved it. The lip is unpainted right now. I dont know if shes going to paint it the color of the car or not.

I'm gonna be the one to go against the grain. lol

I on the contrary thinks that it will only look good but it would have to be a high gloss. The rest of the engine bay would also have to be spotless also though. And the painted areas would also have to have a high gloss look to it. But thats just me.

paint it the same beige! the grey look to the cover looks out of place in the beige car. if you did a full lip kit with black, then with the windows at like 25% and the engine cover black! that would be hot!
