Thats what I wanna get. Running a 1500w system with 3 batteries. Because of my system thats probably what made my alt go in the first place. She is surging right now but volts are still good. Just not good for my electronics. As she could over amp and kill **** if I am not being smart about it.

Anyway I want the 240amp one but it says only 97!!? wtf? I thought 97-99 were identical? I know there are some differences in the 95-96.

Its either do this. Or get a nice new Bosch for $170 and just live with it. I have 3 batteries anyway but thats still a pretty big load on a stock spec alternator @ 110 amps.

Or rebuilt my current one(which all it needs is probably new brushes) for $110 at a local shop.

Are you using regular wet cell batteries?

Why would you need 3 batteries if you only have 1500 watts?

nice!

YO man, i was thinking bout adding an extra battery for my system but got cap for 20 bucks 1.3 F instead.

Have u ever tried to wire the battery to the amp independently. I guessin u running the batteries in parallel with the car battery. I was thinkin to leave the batteries separate so that the car electricals wouldnt suffer. But then obviously the problem is the Alternator wouldnt be able to charge the amp battery as u drive. But i look at it like this, if u get a good battery then u prolly get a year out of it AND u dont have to worry about over-stressing the car electricals.

If u had a walkman, u wd have to replace the batteries in that anyways correct??? So whats the difference here

I have an Iraggi 220A alt in my 4th gen. I'm in process of selling/parting out the car. I used it for about 2 yrs / 40k mi. I originally paid 400 for it. I'm about to put it on ebay soon. If you want it let me know.

There are differences in amperage bet is should work. Im pretty use I installed a 96 or 96 alt in my 98. It was the only one in stock at Autozone. Fit and bolted up perfectly.
