Our car's dipsticks are hard to read when doing an oil change or when the engine is warmed up. The oil has to drain back down to the pan to get an accurate reading. It's best to check it when cold, like first thing in the morning.

How much oil did you put in? I believe it's around 4.25 quarts...someone else will confirm I'm sure.

if u drained all the old oil out and put around 4.25 to 4.5 quarts then ur ok theres no way u have double unless u checked ur oil with the engine running or something then it'll soak the dipstick and give u the wrong reading

+1 on checking the oil level in the next morning after the oil change day(before you turn the car on)...would be the most accurate
