egr code & stall after wot

hey fellas. car is 99 calispec 5spd. so about a week ago i got a code for egr, i thought no big deal i'll handle it over the summer. this weekend though as im driving down the shore i gun it to the top of first and pop it in neutral & coast to a light i didn't notice it stall until i felt the wheel get stiff. started back up fine.

i tested it again and it stalled out again. the rpms keep falling to 0 but sometimes the rpms will simply drop real low (300) and rise back to normal. Nothing happens if i floor it and shift, it's only when going from wot to neutral.

does it sound like symptoms of an egr malfunction? dirty tb/intake? iacv? it never happened before, only now as the weather is getting hot.

any help will be appreciated
