i recently heard that spray your brakes with water after driving is good for them because they cool down faster

i personality think that that is a bunch of bs, but just wondering if anyone else has ever heard this? could it be worst for the brakes?

nah man dont ever do that, its like you come back from a ball game you dont just run into the shower your body will not withstand the reaction of hot to complete cold you will sicken yourself

same thing with the brake at a higher temp, cold enough water on even a normal use brake system will cause it to craked warp or at least weaken the rotor and other components. would you ever go to the track run cold water on your heated engine befor e your next race? no lol you wont have a proper engine to run anymore.

really want to cool em down just invest in drilled rotors, they cool down faster than normal, and and save the water its good for the environment

In the old days highway trucks had spray systems for the brakes. They started sprayin before starting down a steep grade, BEFORE the brakes were hot.
