Just bought a 97 5 speed maxima from a friend of mine...has 180K on it but is running great and has been well maintained since he bought it with 60K on it...this is going to be my daily driver and my new 370z will be the weekend car...i just need some advice on what i should have checked out and what services should have been done or need to be done....thanks again for all your help

 

plugs and the coils, radiator fluid , brake fluid, p/s fluid and of coarse ur oil and belts u should be good to go

 

Posting in the right forum would be a good start.

 

All of the following should be checked, but not necessarily replaced. Also check transaxle gear oil and replace with only GL4 (NOT GL5 or GL4/5). Check PCV valve. Check cv boots, exhaust, suspension.

The coils are probably fine. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.[

Chek the air filter, fuel filter, and all fluids & belts. I would check the spark plugs as mentioned by someone else.
