for some reason the ground and power wire for my ecu isnt booting up my afc...i wired it up to my battery to make sure it wasnt a defecting afc and it turned right on... now im assuming if the ground or power wire were bad then the ecu wouldnt turn on..now my question is is it ok to wire and ground my afc to another power source and ground or will that cause a problem down the line

 

I used my cig lighter wiring. Maybe add an extra ground to your ECU and see if that helps.

 

ill give it a try...has it given u any problems and how long have u had it wired to your ciggarette lighter...im not sure if it s a rumor but i heard u shouldnt wire it to a source other than the ecu power and ground wire
