make it lower!!
i have springs on my maxima and it still rides like a boat. a honda with cut spring will ride way better than a maxima with cut springs, i wouldnt recommed or suggest any to cut their springs regardless of the type of car they have...
tha car will ride like crappy, it'll bouncy all crazy and regret you ever did that.

Oops that was me.
The bumpstops are on the strut shaft. Did you cut them down when you had the springs installed? Because of the amount of available piston travel at factory height add to that the amount of drop you get from the S-Tech's, if you don't trim them nearly all the way down, essentially the car is resting on them. They need to be trimmed down 3/4.

I tihnk its better for you to get a 50 profile tires. I am driving a 97 I30 with Tein S tech + Koni Struts & I am using '03 350z rims which come with its tires (225/50/17 in the front & 235/70/15 in the rear). I would say that this combination make me satisfied.
I will post a picture later.

does anyone know the sag rate of the k-sports? it seems to look the lowest right before i have to take all the weight off the wheels and change the oil
and i didnt cut my bump stops cuz there was like 5 of them. on each shock. but that wouldnt make it lower right? just lengthin the shock travel?

There is a lot of misconception about cut springs. First of half the people that talk about or hate on them have never rode in a car with properly cut springs. Yess of course with a stock strut and a spring cut to s*** its gonna ride like ***. But Take it from a guy who rode on cut springs for a whole year. They were paired with stock struts too. Never bouced never blew. Smothest setup you could possible find for being as low as i was on them. Ask 96maxspeedse i bought coilovers from him and he used my old setup and acutally loved it. Just saying dont always follow what other people say. Internet bs spreads like nothing. One person has a bad experience because they cut the spring in half and they are dragging the floor complaining about why their ride sucks..
To the op. your tires are way to small of a profile creating a huge gap

Slammed on d2's. 205/50/zr17 front and 235/45/zr17 rear. Its tucks real good on some 225/50's so im running a lower profile. Frame is about half a blackberry curve from the floor.

My old setup..... Stock cut springs in the front.. some ghetto coilover sleeves in the back both with stock struts. Cut the dead coil and half of the next one in the front. Lowered about 2.6 inches in the front. Tires are small profile so it looks tall. but here it is. Ride was amazing still miss it. Coilovers are very harsh
i figured theyd be junk thanks for the input
tokico blues blow out quick from what i heard from my little brother and a couple of other guys. the only thing blues are good for is replacing stock struts with stock springs
if your going to spend that much for struts($620 + the $300 for the s-techs) i would just save a little more for full coil overs...

So what would you recommend for coilovers. what brand and where to get them at what price??
