Also, do you happen to be a 5spd? The manual is lighter up front so the drop won't be quite as much. I had S-Techs but I'm an auto and the front had a nice drop.

Also did you trim the bumpstops enough?
Speaking of stance...what tire/suspension combo are you using? your car looks hot! are those millies?

I'm probably the few that kept this look. Those are the Mille's on 245/35 and I'm running Progress Technology coilovers, aka Cattman coilovers.

Are those 18s or 19s? Ive never heard of Progress springs on a maxima...i had them on my sentry...great springs but harsh (at least on that car).

19s. The springs are 450/350lbs which I find soft but the ride is comfortable. These coilovers are the only ones for the 4th gen that are designed specifically for them.

Yeah I have Eibach right now, but don't really like them. your stance is perfect with those rims. Are they coilovers or springs? they look like regular springs on cattmans site. Whats the offset on the rims?

You say those are the Cattman coilovers? I though Brian still had them available for the 4th gen. Anyone know for sure? Drop is sweet sweet by way.

I believe Brian sold what he had left of his stock and that was the end of it.

Looking back it was a hell of a price for what you got.

Just got my car back from the shop, got a full weekend, but got some 'knock-off' custommaxima 2.25" front 2" in rear and they look great even on stock rims. Will post pics in the next few days. Got easter egg hunt for the church kinds in the morning then hopefully get wheels and tires mounted on it after an alignment in the afternoon.

Yeah I just spoke to Brian yesterday about them. He said if I were really interested I could try giving progress a call to see if they could make me a set. Im sure they still have the spec sheet.

Anyhow I was looking into JIC because I heard they have the best ride for a set of coilovers. Brian recommended JIC because they are fully rebuild-able and also most of the moving parts are stainless steel and will not bind up from the harsh winter weather here in NJ.

A lil maintenance such as lithium grease goes a long way. I know JIC are extremely expensive but I'd rather do the coilover set once and pay a lot than have problems with an 8 or 900 dollar set with issues that I hear of such as blowing out etc.

low post count- but not new here:

you can cut one coil to get started. and then go by halfs till its just right...
new struts can help with the bounce- OEM replacements are cheap like 60 bux each..
they wont last too long, but should be long enough till you have the cash to buy coilovers

heres my car wth 2.5 coils cut all the way around.

then i swapped the wheels.. 18x8.5f/18x9.5r 225/40s all aound
i dont mind the ride as long as it looks good - and it looks dopes so im happy

I vote and will always vote Progress Springs. The drop is amazing for springs and it rides real nice.

Just under a 2 finger wheel gap. Can barely fit both in there.

I didn't even bother with springs. Nex SSs ride nice, even on ****ty NYC streets

This is below the bumpstops on springs/shocks

Why people bother w/springs/shocks (and no Konis) is beyond me
