Its $561 here
http://www.performanceexhaustplus.co...-assembly.html

I'm guessing people are going to start buying these if they don't like how loud the other y-pipes are.

I don't see why anybody would buy this. This is an OE replacement with the pre-cats. If you want to keep your precats for whatever reason, there are plenty of used stock y-pipes sitting around that nobody wants anymore.

Pre-cat is only used for cold start emissions while the main cat is heating up. Unless it is required in your state, do without them and gain hp & mpg, reduce under hood heat.

Selling and installing used cats is illegal. A shop needs new parts from some where.

in cali it's illegal to buy and sell used cats. The only people who buy cats are metal scrappers(big $$). Also pre cats do go bad, this is a good replacement. There are still ton of maxi's out there, and most of them are stock.

The price is around $400-500 now.

The main advantage of the Magnaflow Y-pipe is that the mandrel-bent pipes while still keeping the pre-cats.

Other standard OE replacement aftermarket front pipes/pre-cats use the stock crush/crinkle bending. Just like the original one that came with the car.

You can get a new Warpspeed y-pipe for $275. Just scroll down to the 4th gen section.

I've purchased 4 WS y-pipes over the years. They always fit perfectly..

That WS y-pipe doesn't have the pre-cats. The Magnaflow y-pipe does.

that's the whole reason i got my warpspeed y-pipe?? why would you want the pre-cats unless you were running a stock exhaust.

The whole reason is that the stock y-pipe has the crush/crinkle bends which constrict exhaust flow and cost power (plus, they rust after a few years).

The Warpspeed Y-pipe uses mandrel bends, as does the Magnaflow (and also the now-discontinued Cattman)

Modern cats (and pre-cats) do not rob any power.

Im confused. Does the Warpspeed y-pipe fit up to a stock exhaust or not? Thats what I thought i read from the website...

Im thinking about pulling the trigger on one. My flex pipe is looking pretty bad and noisy as hell. I figure i should go for it instead of spending the money on a cut and weld for a new flex

The Warpspeed fits perfect, but it doesn't have the pre-cats that come on the OEM pipe. So if your car is subject to emissions testing/inspection, you will automatically fail the visual "tampering" inspection.

Now, if you live somewhere that doesn't have inspection, you can probably get away with the Warpspeed. Removing a cat (including pre-cats) for any reason other than its immediate replacement is illegal in all 50 states (federal law), but you probably won't get caught or fined or anything if your state doesn't do inspections.

Luckily for me, Jersey's inspection is a joke. They just do emissions no visual. I once went through an inspection station with a cavy z24 without a working parking brake, and the driver door was caved in and inoperable due to an accident prior. Couldn't believe i passed.

That's because NJ is emissions-only
