I have a 97 with 183k. Was stock but currently I have a warpspeed ypipe, cai, 2 1/2" catback no cat. Power is okay but whatelse can I do to add more power without a turbo or supercharger? Also I have a Fidanza flywheeland exedy clutch on car

00vi swap and NWP spacers will get you past 200hp i believe unless you are Cali spec, in that case swap all the Cali crap out. Then you have tuning, engine building, and turbo/supercharge.

Lightweight wheels are also something that's forgotten about. Bigger heavier rims make for more sluggish acceleration, although bigger rims are more stylish and close the fender wheel gap. I want 17's but I wanna burn some fat so I'm gonna get RPF1s and save 4lbs per corner, enkei claims a lb of unsprung (wheel) weight is equal to 20lbs of normal car weight, I've heard from other people 10lbs is more accurate. Regardless, ~160lbs is still very good I can always tell the difference in acceleration with a passenger

Then there are carbon body panels but hell if you're really about it just start taking all of the body panels and doors off

Mods

Either install the 00vi or the NWP Spacers. Installing both is pointless.

Another good mod is to have it tuned with emanage ultimate or nistune.

Useless because they provide no gains or useless bc you'd recommend doing something else? I was happy with my spacers and it gave me a good opportunity to replace a lot of the maintenance items along the way.

Best bang for your buck would actually be selling yours and buying my vq30 car... It's painful to think how much I put into it in the last 500miles just to pick up a new project car

The purpose of NWP Spacers is to insulate aluminum parts to help reduce heat transfer from the engine to the intake air in the intake manifolds. The 00vi is already a composite plastic material, so installing a phenolic spacer (insulator) between the LIM and UIM really isn't going to do a whole lot.

On the flip side, no matter what UIM you are using, the NWP LIM spacers are always a good idea because the heads and LIM are both aluminum.

I'll have a MEVI with NWP spacers for sale soon. It will come with the vacuum cannister, new carbon fiber cover with mounting bracket and matching new carbon fiber spark plug cover for $350 plus shipping. EGR has been blocked off on it and TB neck has been ported to 70mm to match up with a PFTB (can be included for an additional fee but will have to be drilled by schmellyfart or you will have to make an adapter). PM if interested.

Cool. How much of a gain will I see with the mevi kit? Just don't have the kind of power I've had in my other Max's. Also tired of cars walking me down😒

Lots of good info here regarding MEVI vs 00VI power.
