How will this benifit you, i just swapped out a 1995 into a 1998 the '95 system, although '95 was obd2. The 1995-1996 are visually the same. I would assume their emissions sensors are as well. But you're gonna have a different set up here. I switched out my throttle body and all the sensors were diff part numbers even if they looked the same. also switched out the vaccume line stuff and im sure other things i don't remeber. as for phisically pluggin in under the hood. Take out you radio clutste and **** there will be two small dizzys(harness plugs) and your main dizzy. those should all physically fit like the radio but i don't know why you wanna do this but long story short you'll be missing plugs underhood wise

If you swap the harness, you might as well look into swapping the ignition wires too so that way all the 99 stuff is bypassed.

Swapping the harness should work, but the nats gets a signal from the 99ecu so you need to bypass that. we had a thread on it a while back, search for it .

HELP
I have a 95 Maxima and just had the engine replaced with a 98 Maxima's engine. Now the speedometer doesn't work and engine won't rev above 3,500rpm The 98 engine was in good shape and came from a Maxima that was totalled about 2 months ago. Does this sound like an engine computer problem?

Is it possible to do just the ECU and not the entire harness?
