I have two old 6 3/4 Bazooka Base Tubes (non-powered) that were in my old truck and have thought about installing them in my '97 SE. Since it has been so long since I have even mess with any stereo, does anybody have any suggestions what kind of amp to get just to power the tubes? Where should I locate the amp? Thanks for your help.

You might want to try a 100watt amp or so. But, with the tubes being such a small woofer, you might have a hard time hearing them in the trunk, If that was where you were planning on installing them. And for the location of the amp, a good place would be the front passanger seat, or the trunk, which ever is easier for you.My2cents

35-50w/channel will be sufficient>>

I had 2 8" Bazookas and ran them with both an ADS PS5 (35W) and a SoundStream D200 (100W)... it didn't make a difference in volume or clarity.

If you have a BOSE system, you'll have a hard time (if not impossible) using a hi/low converter to your amp.
