can someone please post pics of a 97 front window motor?

having some trouble figuring out what i actually need to replace on my window.

basically what has caused it to fail is that a big black rubber gasket/gear looking thing, about 2-3 inches in diameter, has its inner part ripped. i still hear the motor running, but its not moving the window. not sure if i need the motor to get that part, or the regulator.

im getting about 50% telling me motor and other half sayin regulator.

please to be posting pictures of the full window motor. thanks.

WOW, that's exactly what is gone on mine as well... small world. i hear the motor running but it only drops the window a couple inches and wont go back up. anyway, i know the same thing you are saying about the black rubber inside.....well all i can say is i was at the junk yard today for another part...and saw the entire window assembly intact...so guess what my next move will be when i get money again... ha ha sorry i have no pic...but was just suggesting maybe a trip to salvage yard??? good luck, i hope you find your answer

From your description I would bet 99% that your problem is the regulator. Rock auto sells all 4 of them for 37.95 ea including motors. after 2 of mine failed I went ahead and replaced the other 2 as part of maintenance.
