vanity liights question

Has anybody ever installed a dimmer for the vsnity mirror lights? My girlfriend complains that they are too bright and thinks there should be a way of dimming them or at least have a switch for a lower brightness setting.
Any help is appreciated.

Do not blame me if it is not work, but this is just my thought.... use some kind of SILVER paint to paints a thin layer on the inside of the lens???? I would think that might helps decrease the light output... just a thought. Warm Regards.

When I took A-pillar cover off, I saw wires running inside. If that's the wire for vanity lights maybe you can trace them to where you find a nice spot for a brightness control switch, or a potentiometer for continuous adjustment.

Then after you install that, you could figure out a way to install a foot massager into the floorboard of the passenger seat and a hair dryer in the headrest so she can get a massage and a perm while she's doing her makeup in your car... If she's lookin in the mirror that often, she sounds a little too vain...

Peace

curious but do the wires fromt he left a-pillar contain both the wires for the dome light and vanity lights?

or is dome light wires on left and vainity passing on right pillar?
just curious

Oops I didn't check into that. I'll check it next time, with very sharp tipped neddle to poke through the wire skin and measure it, with dome light on and off, vanity light on and off...

Hi Multiplexor, I emailed you the circuits about an hour ago. Have you received it?
