Converting a 5sp to auto

I have a few questions about this
First do i have to change the enegine harness?
second has anyone done this swap before?
lastly is it easy?

Ive done 5sp swaps ,engine swaps, etc so i know alot but ive never done a 5sp to auto swap.

Any input???

And lose your LSD?

Also yes, like mentioned before... follow the 5spd swap in reverse.

I mean, sure there are immediate advantages to going 5spd vs. auto... but man today LSD would have been awesome fighting traffic in the rain.

Tru Tru, but I'm trying to go all out with this car. When I pull up to car meets and I got people looking at my car, once they see the automatic they just walk away. I bet people think this car doesnt even have a 5speed version because its a big 4door.

You'll need a auto ecu, the harness, tcm along with countless other things. Difficulty is questionable being that you'll be adding a bunch of wires instead of eliminating them. And instead of putting a hole in the floor for the shifter, you'll be closing one up.

I have done it and wouldn't attempt it with an engine still installed.
I changed the main dash harness, engine harness and engine room harness.
So everything looks factory other then the hole in the firewall where the clutch master cylinder was.
