Anyone with LED bulbs interior light?

i think interior light in our cars is wimpy, especially front lamp it's like there is no difference between off and on ( try to read something at night)
I found there is different kinds of led bulbs on ebay and they are not expensive, pictures looks interesting

i would like to upgrade interior and trunk, and maybe doors lamps if this is really that good like pic....,
so here are my questions:
can i get LED bulb replacement for trunk and interior?
what kind of Leds are best? SMD , different?
any disadvantage?
someone with pictures?

Truthfully, I don't even use the lamps in the car. I have it set to off so it doesn't turn on with the doors...maybe that will be a good idea for the courtesy lamps on the doors though.

Many of those cheap ebay LEDs will burn out quickly or start to flicker, but they're dirt cheap so try em out.

I don't have a problem with the stock bulbs and I have full black interior. However, I did notice that the 4th gen cheapened out vs the 3rd gen. 3rd gen has door lamps in the rear doors while the 4th gen only has them in the front. I've considered modding some in the 4th gen as well as some pillar lights by the read deck/speakers.

97 using Lexur 1 in the map light

Anyone try using the Lexur 1 9 led in their map light? I cant get it to work. I have 12 volts to it but the led board will not work. I tested it in the door light and it works fine. I also have one in place for the rear light and that works fine. Im beginning to think not enough current to make it work in the map light.. sounds wired but why would it work in every other fixture in the car except for the map light?

Im looking on getting some smd led boards that measure 3.2 X 2 inches. What are the dimensions of the boards you used in your map and dome light?

I purchased them with the bulb adaptors from a local audio shop. Give those a shot! For $1 you can't go wrong.

Nice.. yeah I figure I give it em a shot for that price. I just need to make sure they fit the map and dome housing. I can always measure it myself, I was just wondering if you knew the dimensions off hand. btw Congrats on the Max of the month.

Got a link? I'm sure if I can fit a board with 24 LEDs, you can fit one with 12. Sorry I don't know the dimensions off the top of my head. Thanks though for the congrats!
