The only 2 complaints I had with the ECU in my 99 was that if I left my car running in the winter to fill up with gas, as soon as I unscrewed the gas cap, the car died. Other issue was the idle was raised to around 900-950rpms. Not sure why it did that with the JWT ECU.

As an added bonus, for anyone who has the crappy 99 key that breaks to easily, if you have a modified 96 JWT ECU in your 99, you could use a 95-98 Maxima key. Whatever JWT did to make the 96 ECU work in the 99, they disabled the feature that links to the chip in the key.

I sold mine to i30dvr. 97_Roadrunner is now the owner of it. Perhaps you can contact them as well to get their thoughts.
Ah awesome to hear!!

Next bit of good news I heard... There is a guy around here running around w/ a 97 ECU in his 99, just need to get ahold of him and have a nice little chat about it... The reason why I bring that up is because didn't TS make ECU's for the 97-98s?

And back to off topic nonsense

According to my PB comapred to your latest track snafu, some people may think you're serious.

Either way, you or S3 have contributed nothing to this thread, so stop looking like morons.

i never heard of ts modding ecu's for 97-98's... only 95 and 96 period.

i wonder what is the difference between a 99 fed spec max, and a 97-98 fed spec maximas? The only thing that comes to mind is the different egr set up, and immobilizer?.. other than that, i wonder if you can plug a tuned 96 fed spec ecu into a 99 fed spec?

Won't work. Tried it in my 99 for ***** and giggles when I bought the 96 modified JWT ecu from a fellow .org'er. Car just cranked but wouldn't start. On the flip side, I also tried the ECU in the 96 4.5gen after it was modded to work in my 99. Did the same thing. Cranked but didn't start.

Word? If you wanna call me out on my track times, yeah that's cool, traction is easy to improve anyways But I'm sure you'd have an issue running with the cars I've beaten "on closed courses in 3D environments in the Tijuanan desert"

And I probably look like a moron arguing with you, but not as much of a moron as you do when you drive your car

I'll be back to field more questions about the EU, if there are any.
