DTC help!

Guys,

I'm having some issues with my car.

Problem #1:
I've just recently replaced my CEL bulb (found out it was dead) and afterwards, my clock, driver side fog light and security light (with the beeping sound) no longer works.

Problem #2:
I've tried to get a DTC reading but the DTC reader is not getting any information from the car telling me that the car is not turned on (when it clearly is on).

Could it be all related to a blown fuse?

Please help!

I would first check the fuses, but I think you have a short or a bad ground wire somewhere.

Thanks for the reply.

How does one go about fixing the short you speak of?

First of all, the clock is on fuse # 21 and the fog lights are on fuse # 63. Since one fog lighr works and the other doesn't, that is not a fuse problem. If you removed the instrument cluster, I would look for connectors that are not fully seated (pushed together. This would mean pulling the instrument cluster out again.

I pulled the cluster out again and rechecked for any lose connections but the problem still remains to be unsolved.

I am so lost in this.

Since you can't find it i would check all fuses just to be sure can't rule out a fuse problem until you have checked them doesnt take long its worth a shot!

I had this problem, there are wires from the ecu that go to the obd2 port, do a continuity check on those wires at the port. I believe mine was an orange wire, it was not reported as connected to the ecu, I just ran another wire from the ecu to the port and problem fixed.
