foglights not working, need help with wiring (PIC INSIDE)

okay well, I just recently got my fogs installed and they dont work. Yes, I made sure my low beams were on, I switched the bulbs. So I opened up my relay box and theres not even a relay for the fogs there. I know its an SE given the rims/gauges/options and that the previous owner was the only owner, who happened to be some guy in his 50s (doubt he did a cluster swap) I checked maybe I could do the rewire, but the relays arent even the same, let alone i dont even have a wiper relay -_- something seems reeeeeealy fishy, or maybe I just need an experienced maxima enthusiast to help me. I mean, I see the lite green and the yellow-green wire to connect, I just dont want to **** with it knowing its possible my car wasn't meant for fogs. thanks in advance, I really hope this could work things out, I don't doubt any of you one bit

Just because you think its an SE doesn't mean it is you need to check the vin with the corresponding letters to know whether it is or not, its in the faq section in the stickies. But anyway all maximas are wired for fogs all you need to do is add the fog lamps the stalk should be there, it sounds like you did that so now you need to add the relay which it looks like your missing but are you sure your holding the cover the right way? And you need to add a fuse on the other side of the engine in the fuse box and you need the headlight stalk that has the fog light switch on it.

well i've got the stalk, the fuse is in the other side box, and on the FAQ on how to rewire, it seemed as though the guy was missing the top left relay, making me think its not needed. Its just a matter of confidence now to rewire, since I see the 2 wires he used(green-yellow and lite green)

Why would you have to rewire all you need to do is buy a relay and plug it in its place and there you go. I did it to my 5th gen and 4th gen.

They are all wired for fogs all you need to add is the relay, the fogs themselves, the fog light fuse under hood by drivers side, and the headlight stalk that has the fog light switch on it. I am sure the OP is missing either the relay or the right stalk.

That definitely is not the correct cover. The number in the corner of the cover should be 0L700. Where your cover says LAMP (top right corner), that's the front fog lamp relay.

The cover should read:
Top row left to right:
. CLUTCH - RR FOG - WIPER - ABS ACTR - LAMP - FR FOG LAMP.
Bottom row left to right:
. AIR COND - ANTI THEFT START - HORN 3 - ABS MOTOR - (no label) - HORN 2.

To verify that the car was built as a SE, look at the identification plate on the firewall, passenger side by the windshield wiper motor. There is a code on the plate that starts with BLHU. Count over to the 6th character. V=SE G=GLE E=GXE.

didnt want to bump an old thread, but i thought it would be better that starting a new one. I wanna add fog lights to a 96 max, i have the stalk, the fuse and should have a set of lights n brackets in the next few days.

My question is, since the max only has the ONE fog light wire taped behind the driver-side headlight is a relay all I need? if so will the one's on ebay that say HID relay harness work?

All you need is the relay, you have the other parts. As for the ebay item, I don't know. Can you supply a link so I can look at it?

Getting the relay from WesCTR is probably your best bet.

You still need the OEM relay and unless you're independently rewired, the fogs will only come on with the headlights.
