In the 95-96 there is a little wave in the body, the 97-99 are smooth all the way down. I dont think they will fit right....

I did the opposite on my 96, I would think it would work on a 97-99 but you will have to change the trunklid.

I put a '95 trunk on my '99 just because I wanted the CE diamond red/clears and, call me crazy, I always liked the red being on the bottom and the clear being on top. I filled in the wave on my '95 trunk. So, to answer your question - yes, but you need to get a new trunk too.

If you have a pebble beige max I'd trade you my trunk and 95 tails for a set of 97 tail lights.

I have two trunks but I've been too cheap to purchase new tails

sorry got a green 97 with a 95 lid already. I happen to like the ripple in the trunk and in the tails it looks so much more distinct than the flats on the 97-99 JMO
