Yes, I have fitment issues for both trunk lights. It just won't stay flush as the OEMs. If I push any harder into the trunk it will crack.

Do you have a pic from the side to see how bad the fitment is?

Don't they? The ones I have are close. They don't have circles but they are diamond red/clear.

neo, can you take a pic with the brakes applied please?

Thanks!

The ones for us are just too diamond cut. Those look to only be partially diamond cut and are much cleaner looking.

I will next Sunday. I don't have the car with me right now. It's sitting at my parent's place for the weekdays (I live and work in center city, thus don't want to pay $300 a month for parking).

Photoshops of the tails tinted in several ways..

Fully tinted, with the 3rd brake light tinted as well:

Red left alone with the clear tinted (red/smoked):

Red section tinted along with 3rd brake light, clear sections left alone:

Please, if you're going to either fully tint them or tint the red section, tint the 3rd brake light as well. I hate when people leave that untinted, the red just sticks out too much and looks stupid.

Red/smoked looks the best out of the above three IMHO.

Those actually look very nice. Looks like the tail lights used on the newer cars. Are those LED bulbs?

I love the lenses but not thrilled of the way bulb shines, i'd look into red bulbs or nice LED's imo. And likin the all smoked option..

Also, not sure if just me but does anyone else hate the lil side marker bulb on bottom outside portion of tails? I bought the round LED tails, candied em and left that other bulb out for cleaner look....

What did you do to those tails exactly? Just a tint?

If you do decide to convert your rear end, PM me immediately. I'll take your tails off your hands.

Took them apart got rid of the vertical lines so all there is left is the horzontal lines as in my picture. Black on the clear and silver on the red. It's more detailed in my build.

Do you guys think these lenses would fit over the oem lights. So I would just swap the lenses. Not really digging the circle brake lights but I love how they look. Quite a toss up

One request...

Can we see the output (on the ground, like set the camera on the trunk) of the the tail lights? Reverse and braking?

Man, I don't know why everyone wants clear lenses. I love the diffuse look of the '97+ factory tails all lit up at night. It looks dope as heck. These ones look like angry little red points.

I guess these look decent when they're off, but I can see that huge reflector area with the tiny circle cut out of the middle and I just know what's coming at night. It ain't so cool then. These tails had some promise, but I guess I'm not a fan.

They look pretty good when off. Don't really dig them when illuminated. Might buy them, and modify them to make them better.
