Clarification on the S-Pipe

What the pipe that connects the Cat to the rest of the exhaust on a 98 Fed spec?

I've tried searching around but without the name or part number I cannot find any information on it, or find it on ebay/auto stores.

The previous owner had it welded to the catback he replaced the stock with (Cherry-bomb and a real crap muffler) Needless to say it rusted completely out and I'm replacing it with CustomMaximas stainless catback, But won't be able to perform the necessary surgery without this little O2 pipe.

I'm having a hell of a time finding it, the closest I've come is this Which I'm unsure of. This car is my only DD so I need to fix&go Asap, hence my apprehension of buying the wrong tube.

This 9" sensor pipe costs about $35 at courtesyparts.

That's what I figured it was, But that particular part isn't sold by them anymore, it seems
This part number is flagged as a Service File by Nissan and may have changed or need additional parts for replacement. Please contact us before ordering!

Looks like they replaced it with this $70 pipe 20031-A32B002. Click on 20030+A in the diagram and it appears on the right.

I baught that $35 intermediate pipe 4 years ago and it fit fine. I don't know if that pipe in discountbodyparts for a 2000 maxima will fit.

Thanks for the help, I've sent Courtesy an email inquiring about the 35 dollar part. $70 bucks is a hell of a pill to swallow for this...

I wish i could get some clarification on the 2000 part, 16 bucks, now that's what i'm talking about.

That s-pipe is the most restrictive part in your exhaust. I would personally have an exhaust shop extend the flange and add an o2 port.

I would love to do a full custom exhaust, But I'm cash strapped at the moment.

Doing this all in my garage.

Righteous man, I've even looked at that thread...

Damn shame it's 48 dollars though. I'm gonna try to see how it compares to the Replacement pipe, Hopefully the dimensions are the same, Save me 30 bucks

Western Pennsylvania sounds remote, but I bet you can still find an exhaust shop to make the s pipe for you. I had a 2.5" pipe with a similar bend to that one made for 25 bucks. It's usually cheap if you go in there with the measurements.

EDIT: I missed this post on the first read.

Probably a lot cheaper to have made than you think.
