painting grille oem color where to buy?

the maxima i bought unfortunately isn't an se, so the grille is chrome. i was toying with the idea of painting it black, but im leaning more on painting it oem (rosewood).

anyone have suggestions? and also where i could buy a can of rosewood paint? i think the color code is ls1.

Go with the OEM color, black is gonna look tacky.

You might consider having a paint shop match your color, to account for fade or uneven color after all these years.

I have no idea what that would cost, but you might consider it.

Don't do black.

http://www.paintscratch.com is a place where you can buy the oem colors in a variety of sizes, and can even buy the paint in spray can form.

Its gonna be difficult to paint the chrome on that grill. Get yourself a ready to paint grill from ebay, Certifit or autofit. got mine from Autofit for 20 & some change. I have the same color car & if your OEM grill has any imperfections (rock chips, scratches ect) the the rosewood paint will show it when you clear coat. I got my paint & clear, both in spray cans from expresspaints.com. Could'nt be more happier with the results

some NAPA auto parts will make the paint for you.. i've bought 6 cans of BW9 paint for my blue maxima.. it came out to be cheaper than some websites i checked out because of no shipping charge.. I think it was $13-$14 bucks a can but you had to buy a minimum of 3 so I used it to paint my grille, front lip, and roof spoiler and have 2 cans left I believe

I have used the Duplicolor import auto spray with great results. I painted my chrome gxe grille Pebble Beige. Just remove your grille, sand it down, primer, auto spray, then clear.
