carfax doesnt mean much, i ran it on my friends dodge truck and nissan altime, then altime had been hit in the front and rear ended, with the windshield and back glass damaged, police report made and insurance fixed it, but the carfax was completly clean. i mean, with the damage to the car, i thought it was going to be considered a total loss, but nope. but it never drove the same afterwards. the dodge truck was tboned, report made, and insurance fixed, but still the carfax was clean.
i dont know what it is, but i thought carfax was better than this, i had my own maxima checked and it had an accident, which was when someone backed into my fender and i made a police report, i didnt fix it, and that appeared, but two vehicles with major frame damage come out clean. . .
i just dont trust it anymore

yeah, carfax is a joke, really. i mean it couldve been in water damage in florida and might not show up in jersey because the state law doesnt require it to show all the damage or whether its a salvage title. save your money
